Hi there!
I'm a digital sculptor and animator from Seattle, WA (born โn raised)!๐ฒ
Some themes that have majorly influenced my work are evolutionary biology, taxonomy, psychology, digital connection, and my struggles with communication. Humanities tendency to be apathetic towards all things non human is also something I like to shed light on. Throughout my life Iโve always expressed emotion, behaviors, and stories through artwork that is typically devoid of humans.
I believe we can learn so much from humans that have not yet had their minds flooded with brands or our very ridged societal structures. Children, tribal communities, and the modern bird watcher or fisherman are great examples of these types of humans. I draw almost all of my inspiration from an intense fascination and drive to learn about the natural world, and the dream to one day feel more connected with it again, as I was when I was younger.
Iโve been working in 3D since 2017 and creating artwork since I can remember. Prior to digital art I dabbled with many traditional mediums, my favorites being oil paint and clay. Art is the way I process life around me. Process things I learn, communicate, and navigate my mental health. So my personal battles are of course ingrained into my work, but I like them to have more of a back seat and never get too dark. I want the viewer to feel good and have room to feel through my work too.
Iโm currently living in Brooklyn with my partner and 2 cats, maintain a small freshwater fish tank and enjoy birdwatching.
