RASCAL depicts three creatures lifting a fallen companion who is encased in a cage. A suet cage, a symbol of home for me. The artwork is an exploration of speculative anatomy inspired by diving birds and sea lions. I envy animals that glide through life in their explosive and graceful ballet. To dive into the ocean and let worries and the world dissolve off in a fizz of one million bubbles.
The sculpt in the artwork will be used to create a physical sculpture in 2025.
