Home Buddies is a piece about the comfort of imaginary friends that manifest and resurface throughout life during dark times. In moments of agony and fear in particular.

The title is a spin on the term home body. I’m painfully reclusive and getting outside usually takes a lot of energy for me.

I’ve been finding a lot of comfort and inspiration in the dogs, ironworks in Brooklyn and Queens, and the ruggedized city wildlife for the last few years. I’m very much looking forward to a slower pace of life again next year, but the things that helped me get by here will always be in my heart. <3
